2025 NFL Preview: Los Angeles Rams Season Outlook, Schedule & Prediction
2025 LOS ANGELES RAMS SEASON PREVIEW
It was a very slow start for the Los Angeles Rams as they lost four of the first five games of the season. The Rams had an early bye in Week 6 and came out of it with three consecutive victories. Los Angeles would put together a five-game winning streak late to get to 10 wins and into the postseason. Ona. snowy day in Philadelphia on Divisional Weekend, the Rams came up short on a potential game-winning drive.
OFFENSE
It was an extremely busy offseason for the Rams.
Would Matthew Stafford be traded? Who would line up opposite Puka Nacua? Is there going to be a shakeup across the offensive line?
At this point, all questions are answered and the quarterback position looks the same. Stafford stayed in Los Angeles and will have some new weapons to work with.
Cooper Kupp saw major declines and this led to a trade to the Seattle Seahawks. To make up for the loss, the Rams added Davante Adams to be the No. 2 receiver next to Nacua.
Alaric Jackson was another question mark in free agency. The left tackle re-signed this offseason and this was extremely important for the line. He is back with Rob Havenstein, who will make up one of the elite duo in the league.
Kyren Williams welcomes Jackson back after a breakout season. He rushed for 1,299 yards with 14 touchdowns in 2024.
DEFENSE
The Rams were able to find future stars in the 2024 NFL Draft.
It begins with Jared Verse, who logged just 4.5 sacks but made major impacts in many ways. Byron Young finished with 7.5 sacks in 2024 and will be opposite Verse this season.
On the interior, the Rams landed Braden Fiske in the draft and he turned in 8.5 sacks as a rookie. He will be joined by Kobie Turner and Poona Ford this season.
The linebackers struggled last season and this led to the addition of Nate Landman, who is not elite but still an upgrade from Christian Rozeboom.
In the secondary, Kamren Curl returns as the team’s most explosive player. He will start next to Kamren Kinchens along the last line of defense. On the outside, Darious Williams and Cobie Durant return as starters.
