2025 NFL Preview: Tennessee Titans Season Outlook, Schedule & Prediction

2025 TENNESSEE TITANS SEASON PREVIEW

The Tennessee Titans gave the Will Levis experiment one more year and it proved to be a failure. The Titans began the year 0-3 and it snowballed to 1-6. After a win against the Houston Texans, the Titans lost the final six games of the year to finish 3-14 and at the bottom of the league.

OFFENSE

The Cam Ward era is officially on in Tennessee.

It was a top-heavy draft with the likes of Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter available but the Titans decided to upgrade the most important position on the field. Ward is an experienced quarterback who played a lot of football at both Miami and Washington State.

In order to put the young quarterback in the best position to succeed, the Titans added two new offensive linemen. Dan Moore signed on to be the new left tackle opposite J.C. Latham. The Titans also added Kevin Zeitler to the interior. At 35 years old, he is an experienced linemen who can lead the way. He will join Peter Skoronski and Lloyd Cushenberry.

Ward hopes to stay upright and get the ball to a receiving corps that is a bit thin. Calvin Ridley enters as the No. 1 but there was not much else. The Titans sent DeAndre Hopkins away in a trade and added two more veterans in Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson. Chig Okonkwo has emerged as a pass-catching tight end as well.

In the backfield, Tony Pollard rebounded with a strong year in 2024. He was down the year before due to injuries but has looked himself recently. The duo of Pollard and Tyjae Spears is an intriguing duo in the AFC.

DEFENSE

The defense was not good in many areas last season. Now, Harold Landry is gone and there are even more questions marks in the front seven.

Most importantly, can Arden Key become become the top rusher after 6.5 sacks last season?

Key will step into an even bigger tole right away. He will be joined by Olu Oladejo on the edge. The Titans will also need the linebackers to take a step forward. Cody Barton is now in the mix to stop the run. Barton has been effective as an off-ball linebacker but cannot cover in space. Otis Reese and James Williams add depth to the middle.

The losses continued with Chidobe Awuzie leaving in free agency. L’Jarius Sneed missed time with an injury after an extremely rough start to the year. The starters this year might look a bit different with Jarvis Brownlee and Darrell Baker.
