Projecting the Top 10 Offenses for the 2025 NFL Season
Scoring points in today’s NFL is all about adaptability, speed, and playmakers who can flip the field in an instant. The best offenses are driven by elite Quarterbacks and/or dynamic schematic designs that put opposing defenses in conflict on every play. In 2025, we’ll likely see some regulars when it comes to the league’s most efficient offenses. There’s always going to be some newcomers as well.
Here are my Top 10 Projected Offenses for 2025:
1. Baltimore Ravens
Quarterback: Lamar Jackson
Coordinator/Playcaller: Todd Monken
Key Skill Player for 2025: RB Derrick Henry
Rising Star: WR Rashod Bateman
Analysis: Lamar Jackson has reached a level of consistency that would have been hard to fathom at the beginning of his dynamic but sporadic career. Adding Derrick Henry to the mix was absolutely earth-shattering in year 1, now in year 2 of that marriage and year 3 of the Todd Monken system, this should once again be the most explosive rushing offense in football
2. Buffalo Bills
Quarterback: Josh Allen
Coordinator/Playcaller: Joe Brady
Key Skill Player for 2025: RB James Cook
Rising Star: WR Kalil Shakir
Analysis: The Bills will go as far as Josh Allen takes them, but James Cook’s emergence as a true three-down back gives Buffalo a more balanced identity heading into 2025. With Joe Brady dialing up creative run-pass options and Kalil Shakir gaining trust as a chain-mover, Josh Allen doesn’t have to play hero ball every snap — though he still can when it counts.
3. Cincinnati Bengals
Quarterback: Joe Burrow
Coordinator/Playcaller: Zac Taylor (HC)
Key Skill Player for 2025: WR Ja’Marr Chase
Rising Star: RB Chase Brown
Analysis: The Bengals offensive firepower is not in question, but their continued evolution heading into 2025 will be key to them reaching their ceiling. Burrow to Chase and fellow star WR Tee Higgins is the known commodity, but RB Chase Brown really showcased his gamebreaking ability as a dual-threat back and is the reason I believe this team can reach new heights as an offense.
4. Philadelphia Eagles
Quarterback: Jalen Hurts
Coordinator/Playcaller: Kevin Patullo
Key Skill Player for 2025: RB Saquon Barkley
Rising Star: OC Cam Jurgens
Analysis: Kellen Moore is now the HC in New Orleans, but Patullo inherits a well-oiled machine on the ground with one of the league’s best O-Lines, Barkley, and Hurts leading the way. If he can get the passing attack to be more efficient and more than just a complimentary part of the offense, this could be the best unit in the league. Look for Cam Jurgens, who recently signed a big extension with the team, to help lead the way for a dominant run and pass-blocking unit.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Quarterback: Baker Mayfield
Coordinator/Playcaller: Josh Grizzard
Key Skill Player for 2025: RB Bucky Irving
Rising Star: WR Emeka Egbuka
Analysis: Grizzard inherits a machine of an offense from Liam Coen and it will be his job to keep the good times rolling in Tampa. Mayfield’s surge into the upper echelon of QBs and the team’s incredible depth at the skill positions, all playing behind one of the best Offensive Lines in the league, makes this a formidable unit despite the change at Coordinator. Expect the “Fighting Mayfields” to be near the top of the league in efficiency metrics once again in 2025.
6. Kansas City Chiefs
Quarterback: Patrick Mahomes
Coordinator/Playcaller: Andy Reid (HC)
Key Skill Player for 2025: WR Rashee Rice
Rising Star: WR Xavier Worthy
Analysis: Mahomes to Rice might be the new Montana to Rice, if this Rice can stay on the field. With a mid-season suspension looming, though, other players will need to ascend. The once explosive Chiefs offense looks to return to form after a couple years of devolving into a ball-control offense that makes just enough plays under the willpower of Mahomes to keep the Chiefs going back to Super Bowls. For KC to stay on top in a competitive AFC, though, they will need to regain that explosive identity in 2025.
7. Green Bay Packers
Quarterback: Jordan Love
Coordinator/Playcaller: Matt LeFleur (HC)
Key Skill Player for 2025: WR Matthew Golden
Rising Star: OT Jordan Morgan
Analysis: The Packers are poised to be one of the more balanced offensive attacks in the league, thanks to a dynamic blend of young talent and ascending trench play. Rookie WR Matthew Golden has quickly emerged as a vertical threat and could establish himself as the team’s WR1 as a rookie. On the offensive line, Jordan Morgan’s versatility and dominance—no sacks or pressures allowed in preseason—have solidified his role as a rising star and leader on a unit that’s trending upward. With Golden stretching defenses and Morgan anchoring protection for Jordan Love, Green Bay’s offense is built to explode this season.
8. Washington Commanders
Quarterback: Jayden Daniels
Coordinator/Playcaller: Kliff Kingsbury
Key Skill Player for 2025: WR Deebo Samuel
Rising Star: QB Jayden Daniels
Analysis: There could be some regression from Jayden Daniels in year 2 and this offense will still likely be dynamic. The OL doesn’t have to be great in Pass Pro because of Daniels’ natural escapability in the pocket, but it should be a pretty solid run blocking unit, leading the way for a stable of versatile RBs to help take some of the playmaking pressure off of Daniels. If Kliff Kingsbury can continue to create and things don’t get stale, and new acquisition Deebo Samuel can be the “easy button” YAC receiver the team did not have last season, the Commanders will once again be an exciting group in 2025.
9. Detroit Lions
Quarterback: Jared Goff
Coordinator/Playcaller: John Morton
Key Skill Player for 2025: RB Jahmyr Gibbs
Rising Star: WR Jameson Williams
Analysis: Losing Ben Johnson is going to hurt. I understand that the core skill-position talent is still there, and John Morton has been a part of the system for a couple of years now, but Johnson’s touch and timing as a playcaller will also be missed. The Lions O-Line has been revamped as well, meaning there’s lots to sort out as the season opens. Still, Dan Campbell’s culture building process is one of the league’s strongest and the firepower on the roster is enough to keep them in the Top 10 for 2025.
10. Atlanta Falcons
Quarterback: Michael Penix, Jr.
Coordinator/Playcaller: Zac Robinson
Key Skill Player for 2025: WR Drake London
Rising Star: QB Michael Penix, Jr.
Analysis: There are a lot of other teams worthy of this spot, but the Falcons are absolutely loaded at the skill positions, and even with OT Kaleb McGary’s season-ending injury, I believe in the O-Line group that’s been assembled in the ATL. If you believe in 2nd year passer Michael Penix Jr. you will believe in this group’s potential to be special. If he’s good, he, London, and RB Bijan Robinson could be the next great trio in the league.
Just Missed: San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Rams
