Miami Dolphins 2025 Practice Squad And Waiver Moves Recap
Just a day after 53-man roster cuts, the Miami Dolphins are making some changes to their active roster and assembling their Practice Squad.
Dolphins Add Multiple CBs To Active Roster
Starting with the active roster, the team has officially signed CB Rasul Douglas and claimed CB JuJu Brents off waivers. To make room on the roster, the team has waived CB Isaiah Johnson and S Jordan Colbert.
The Indianapolis Colts selected JuJu Brents in the 2nd round (Pick 44) of the 2023 draft. Coming out of Kansas State, Brents was lauded for his physical playstyle. At 6’3″ and 198 lbs, he has the tools to thrive as an outside zone CB. So, he should fit right in with DC Anthony Weaver’s zone-heavy scheme.
There’s a reason Brents was on the waiver wire, though. He’s faced his fair share of injuries since joining the league, accounting for only 11 total games in just two seasons.
Chris Grier Speaks To The Media
In a press conference earlier today, GM Chris Grier announced that the team would be bringing back T Kendall Lamm.
This is Lamm’s second stint with the Miami Dolphins. He played for Miami from 2022 through 2024. In the 2025 offseason, he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, only to be released during the final 53-man roster cuts.
Along with this move, Grier also said the team is placing CB Cam Smith on the NFI list.

Miami Dolphins Practice Squad Additions
Aside from new active roster additions, the Dolphins added the following players to the Practice Squad… and some of these names might sound familiar:
- RB Jeff Wilson Jr
- WR Theo Wease Jr
- WR AJ Henning
- TE Greg Dulcich
- TE Hayden Rucci
- OG Braeden Daniels
- OG Josh Priebe
- DL Alex Huntley
- EDGE Quinton Bell
- EDGE Derrick McLendon
- CB Cornell Armstrong
- CB BJ Adams
- S John Saunders Jr
- S Jordan Colbert
- K Riley Patterson
The most notable additions are probably RB Jeff Wilson Jr, TE Greg Dulcich, and K Riley Patterson. Despite Chris Grier confirming that De’Von Achane is expected to play week 1, there’s a chance Wilson is activated for depth due to Jaylen Wright’s injury status. Patterson will be activated as needed while Jason Sanders recovers from his hip injury on IR. As for Dulcich, he’s coming into a prime opportunity with a depleted TE room led by a freshly unretired Darren Waller.
Otherwise, the rest of the Practice Squad is filled with some young talent that could end up fighting for roster spots in 2026. Theo Wease, Braeden Daniels, Derrick McLendon, John Saunders, and Jordan Colbert all had good moments in the preseason. In Colbert’s case, he even made the initial 53.
